Remember the game “Follow the Leader”? Have you ever heard the saying, “Monkey see, monkey do”? I am sure the answer to both questions are yes. There are small rodents in Norway called lemmings. Apparently, they are so devoted to their pack-mates and leader that if one runs over a cliff they will follow, even to their death.

The truth of the matter is that every single human being is a follower of something or someone. The children of Israel followed other gods. Some people follow after vain pursuits. Others follow after mischief. The majority of people follow multitudes down the broad road that leads to destruction.

As Christians, all of the above should describe only our pre-Christ days. No longer do we do that which seems right in our own sight, instead we follow Jesus. To follow Jesus means to walk as He walked. It means to put Him first. It means a daily death to self. It means that loving Jesus is more important than anything or anyone else.

So, who are you following?
