Jesus defeated the principalities and powers of darkness on the cross. The prophecy of Genesis 3:15 was fulfilled on Calvary.
However, the final destruction of Satan will not take place until after the thousand year reign of Christ upon the earth. Until that time of destruction, followers of the Lord Jesus Christ must be prepared to ‘dig in their heels’ for battle.
Although Satan is indeed a crafty foe, his power to overtake the child of God is limited. We can live in victory, saints! But victory cannot be experienced apart from faith in God.
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Through faith and by faith the saints of old walked with God on earth, but had their focus on heaven.
In every trial or temptation we face, there is a victory to be won as we yield ourselves to the power of God’s Spirit and the strength of Jesus!
