Jesus is our Great High Priest. Because of His perfect sacrifice for our sin, His resurrection, and bodily ascension into heaven, we all have access to God through Him. Who needs a priest? We all do. Since God is awesome and holy, sinful humans cannot approach Him directly. We must have a mediator—a Priest—to bring us to God.
