The New Covenant is a work that God has wrought for us through Jesus Christ. The New Covenant is established forever, because it is a covenant that is predicated upon God’s faithfulness, not ours. God also delights in mercy, and the mercy seat that was in the Hebrew tabernacle foreshadowed Jesus as the propitiation of our sins.
