God did many wondrous things for the Israelites when He delivered them from Egyptian bondage. One would think that His people would never even think of turning away from Him. Unfortunately, this was not the case. It did not take them long to turn away from the Lord and to start walking according to their own cousels. This was, and still is, a recipe for disaster.
