In any study about prayer we see that it is very important that we be persistent. Jesus commends a person who is persistent in coming to Him. Persistence doesn’t bug the Lord; it blesses His heart because the Lord loves to hear our voice.

Our perseverance, however, is far more beneficial to us because we need that awareness of God’s presence and our continual dependence upon Him. Prayer is a direct means of fellowship with the Lord. My prayer (no pun intended) is that we would not grow weary hearing about this gift of prayer.

As with any other study, the ultimate goal is personal and practical application. Get alone with the Lord every day. Stay in tune with the Lord throughout the day. Get involved with one of the fellowship prayer groups, or start one. Let’s not just think about prayer, let’s do it and see what the Lord will do!3 After all, He has promised: “Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.”
