Though Jesus has saved us, we are in a race, not in competition with one another, but to become the most fruitful and Christ-like people that we can. To do this we must set aside those things that might hinder us from reaching our goal, which is to finish well. This race is not a sprint, but a marathon, and we must be patient as we run our course.
