Ladies, on this day that we honor our mothers,1 may we give glory to Jesus who is the true women’s liberator.2 In a day and age when women are being pressured to conform to the mold of this fallen world, daughters of Abraham3 are being changed from glory to glory by the Spirit of the Lord.4
God’s call to women is to be wise5 and virtuous.6 Modest apparel, sobriety, and good works7 are the marks of a woman who is abiding close to Jesus.8
How full the Scriptures are with excellent role models of virtuous women: Sarah, Naomi, Ruth, Esther, Deborah, Abigail, Mary the mother of Jesus, to name a few.
Whatever your marital status – single, married, or widowed – God’s call on your life, ladies, is to walk in virtue. Sisters in Jesus, add to your faith virtue.9 Fill your mind with virtuous things.10 Shine brightly and boldly for your bridegroom Jesus,11 and show the world what true beauty is all about!
