As we prepare for the day set aside to honor fathers, let us not forget to take the time to acknowledge and worship our heavenly Father. How I love to read what Scripture tells us about our heavenly Father!
Our Father knows everything about us, and having such knowledge, He has pity on us. Because our Father is God, His nature does not change, for He is everlasting. It is by the will of the Father that we are drawn to the Lord Jesus Christ. It is by the Spirit of adoption that we cry, “Abba, Father.” It is from God our Father that we receive grace and peace.
Our precious God is “the Father of all mercies and God of all comfort”. He is the God who delivers us from this present evil world. Every single Christian is blessed by the Father with all “spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ”. Among those blessings is the privilege of having access to the Father in prayer.
May we determine to give thanks to our Father always for who He is, and what He has done for us.
