Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17
True faith in Christ will produce a new way of living. We will “walk in newness of life.” Right in the middle of our study verses this morning about a new way of speaking, a new temperament, and a new work ethi5 is the command to not “give place to the devil” in our lives.
Through Jesus Christ we have been emancipated from the devil’s stronghold over our lives. However, to walk in this newness of life we must resist the devil by putting on the whole armor of God.
By keeping our eyes on Jesus, and presenting ourselves to God daily, we will find the strength to walk in holiness. We need to purpose to both hear and do what the Word says if we expect to truly experience the fullness of this blessed life.
Lord Jesus, grant to each of us ears to hear what Your Spirit is saying today!
