The apostle Paul wrote about “the work of faith with power”. To ignore the work of faith is to ignore the transforming power of the gospel.
Saving faith produces works of faith. These works are actually the visible fruit of a healthy branch that is abiding in vibrant and loving fellowship with Jesus Christ. These works are to be done to bring glory to our heavenly Father, not to get a pat on the back.
The very same grace that has saved our souls teaches us to be “zealous for good works.” Apart from the grace of Christ, no amount of good works can save us. However, apart from the evidence of good works, the professed grace of God may be held in question. For the power of God onto good works dwells within every single child of God.
So put your faith to work, saints, and watch it grow!
