Psalm 16.11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence [is] fulness of joy; at thy right hand [there are] pleasures for evermore.
Matthew 7.13,14 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide [is] the gate, and broad [is] the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait [is] the gate, and narrow [is] the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Good morning, loved ones! Jesus Christ tells us that every person must walk one of two paths in life. Which one are you on today, reader? A sad but true commentary of life is that the vast majority of people are on that broad path that leads to destruction. It is the narrow path of following Jesus that leads to life. The Psalmist declared that it was God Who showed him the path of life. Who is showing you the path of life my friend?

Earlier in Psalm 16, David blessed The Lord Who had given him counsel. Who counsels you reader? Only the counsel of God stands the tests of life. But there is much, much more for those who walk on God’s path of life! There is fulness of joy and pleasure. God is not a killjoy, nor is He against pleasure, unless it is sinful, harmful pleasure. The Proverbs tell us that evil pursueth sinners. What kind of a life is that? On the other hand, another Psalm reads surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever. Is there really any need to decide which path to be on?

How does one get on this narrow path? By believing the gospel of Jesus Christ. Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures. When we turn from our sin and turn to The Savior, we are placed on that beautiful path of life. It is a life that is taken one step and one day at a time. Walk on His paths today, and enjoy the ultimate pleasure of fellowship with Jesus Christ.
