Exodus 14.14,15 And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever. The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.

This is the amazing account of when Jehovah delivered the nation of Israel out of Egyptian bondage. By His design, they were hemmed in between the Red Sea and the approaching Egyptian army. By human standards, this was the end of the road for Israel. They had been duped by God and were about to be overthrown by the Egyptians. But God – Oh, those solemnly sweet words – “but God!” Inspired by The Lord, Moses told the people of God yo fear not and stand still, for they would see the salvation of God today.

Dwell on that word “today” beloved. Are you feeling hemmed in? Are the odds of circumstances against you? Is your mind telling you that you have been duped by God? Listen to these words of Moses. Hear them as if God Himself were speaking to you.

Fear ye not. Why? Because the perfect love of Christ for you casts out all reason to fear. That is because the salvation of the Lord still rescues His people from destruction and incredible odds. Throw out the words odds or impossibility when Jesus Christ is your Lord. Stand still, dear ones. Be still and know that He is God. He is The God of today. He is The God Who works mightily when we are hemmed in by our circumstances.

Your help today is in The Name of The Lord. Embrace that help by faith, not by sight. Speaking of mountains or formidable obstacles in our lives, Jesus said, have faith in God. Keep your eyes on Him. Trust Him in spite of the roar of contrary emotions or circumstances. Remember, The Lord’s greatest victory took place at a time when it looked like all that He taught and did had failed. In Christ, we fight from victory, not for victory. Christ has won the battle! Walk in the victory of His salvation for you today. The Lord has fought for you, and you can be at peace.
