Mordecai could not erase Haman’s command for the Jews to be slaughtered, but a counter edict granted the Jews the right to defend themselves on the appointed day. It is one thing to write a liberating new edict, but quite another to get the message out to the people. Mordecai had the edict translated and copied, and then he used couriers to spread the new edict throughout the empire as fast as possible. We are Christ’s couriers to carry the Gospel everywhere. Please open your Bible to Esther chapter eight, verse ten, and listen as Pastor Ray Viola completes his study of this chapter.
