In Paul’s day, Judaizers tried to convince Gentile Christians that they needed to be circumcised to be saved. In other words, as many cults erroneously teach today, Christ’s work is insufficient in and of itself to save you. The gospel that saves is not faith in Jesus plus any work or ritual. Salvation is all by grace, through faith in Jesus, period. We are complete in Him!
