In today’s passage, an angel cries out, “Babylon has fallen!” In the Bible, Babylon represents man’s rebellion against God. The leader of this rebellion against the Holy One is The Antichrist, otherwise known as The Beast. His strategies will ultimately fail, because God cannot be defeated. Earthly wisdom is powerless against the Creator and Sustainer of all things.
