Today we begin a new series on the book of Ruth. This book is not so much about the woman for whom it isnamed, but it is about the typological portrayal of Jesus Christ, our Kinsman Redeemer and the Church’s Bridegroom. The story opens during a famine in the days of the judges. Famine is often an indicator of God’s judgment. However, God’s intention was not one of harm, but a means of drawing people to Himself. Please open your Bible to Ruth, chapter one, and listen as Pastor Ray Viola begins his message.
