Today, billions of people around the world are gathering together to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. The bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead is the leg upon which Christendom stands or falls. Most people think that all people will be raised from the dead and judged at the same time. Scripture reveals that there are two separate resurrections and two separate judgments (Revelation 20). One is a resurrection of life, and another is a resurrection of damnation (John 5:28-29).
Likewise, there is a vast difference between being a member of a church, and being a twice-born follower of Jesus Christ. You can join a church, but you must be born into the kingdom of God (John 3:3). And when a person knows and believes in the resurrected Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, it will reorient the way that they live their lives. It will reorient their worldview. It will reorient the way that they make decisions in this life. It will reorient the way that they think about sex, money, marriage. It will reorient the way that they pray, the way that they worship, what they think about the bible, how they look at other people, the way that they use their time, the way that they use their God-given talents and resources. Why? Because the very resurrection life of Jesus dwells inside of them. Selah
