According to Webster the word “redeem” means, “to purchase in order to free from harm or captivity”. However, the devil is truly a liar and always has been. For God has given to mankind this glorious gospel of redemption — a life-changing, liberating message of forgiveness and liberty — and still the devil tells people that living for Jesus will restrict them and bum them out. Nothing could be further from the truth!
This new life that we have in Christ is something that the angels are intrigued by. However, to enjoy the blessings of this fellowship with Jesus we need to be sober-minded and alert. This requires pulling down of enemy-inspired thoughts. This requires transformed thinking.
Saints, the faith that we have been given is precious and worth protecting. May each of us, like young Samuel of long ago, have open ears and tender hearts to hear what the Lord is saying to us today.
