Acts 2:37  Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

Acts 7:54  When they heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed on him with their teeth.

Every time God’s truth is spoken, there is going to be a reaction of some sort. Those who receive the truth of God under the conviction of the Holy Ghost will seek to know what they must do to get right with God. Those who are merely angry with the fact that God has exposed their sin will become hostile and go on the offense.

God’s Word does not return void (Isaiah 55:11). It reveals the thoughts and intents of every heart (Hebrews 4:12). It divides the sheep from the goats, the possessors of eternal life from the mere professors of eternal life. Jesus said that when people hear His Word, some will obey it and some will ignore it. There is no such thing as neutrality when it comes to our reaction to God’s truth. Men love darkness rather than light because their deeds are evil (John 3:19).

The truth of God’s Word is not popular with the unregenerate soul. The truth of God’s Word is not politically correct. The pathway to God is narrow, not broad. The singular pathway and Spokesperson of the truth of God is Jesus Christ (John 14:6).

In this day and age on ecumenicity and tolerance, an honest summary of any “religious document” of the world’s religions, when compared with the truth of Holy Scriptures, essentially call Jesus Christ a liar. He declared that He is the great I AM (John 8:58). He declared that He is the only way to The Father. He declared that He is The Good Shepherd Who laid down His life for His sheep (John 10:11). He is the soon-returning King of kings and Lord of lords.

Have you trusted Him for the salvation of your soul? Do you take Him at His Word for every aspect of your life? Your reaction will determine the condition of your eternal soul. What shall I do? Crucify Him? Come back another day. Selah
