Our faith is as high as the heavens, and yet as practical as the workplace. It is unfortunate that the word “work” has taken such a negative spin in our day, particularly amongst believers.
How’s that? After our new birth, God’s Spirit begins to change us. Along the way, our desires change too, and when it comes to work or our career, we often find ourselves surrounded by people who do not cherish the same values we now have.
In many cases, work now turns into warfare. No doubt, spiritual warfare and work can be related, but we need to see the Biblical perspective on this issue. So far has man fallen in his work ethics that God tells us to observe how industrious the ants are!
As Christians, no matter where we are gainfully employed, no matter who our supervisors may be, our true ‘Boss’ is the Lord Jesus. Whether we like it or not, our faith is reflected in our work ethics.
Are we hard working? Are we prompt? Honest? Dependable?
Saints, you are divinely planted by our all knowing God in your workplace to be salty and shining. So don’t be weary in well doing. Jesus is counting on you!
