Godly fear and reverence for God are not the same. Christians will one day stand before Jesus to give account of our lives and stewardship. This should instill in us a holy fear of displeasing the One that loves us. This fear is not paralyzing or tormenting, because of Jesus’ crucifixion. However, the fear of God should embolden us to serve Him, and His love will hold us together when we face opposition as we proclaim the Gospel. Please open your Bible to Second Corinthians chapter five, verse eleven, and listen as Pastor Ray Viola begins his study.
