Psalm 128:1 Blessed is every one that feareth the LORD; that walketh in his ways.
The bible asks in Psalm 11:3, “If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?” Satan may be a liar and a deceiver, but one thing that he is not….stupid! He can read, and even he knows what happens when God’s order is denied. The prince of the power of the air’s one mission and agenda on planet earth is to destroy, disrupt, or dispute any God-ordained source of order and authority. Whenever and wherever God-ordained order or authority is destroyed, disrupted, or disputed, chaos and confusion set in and all hell breaks loose. There’s no mistaking the fact that the order God established in the home is under siege in our society.
Therefore, today, I am giving a clarion call to every Christian father, grandfather, and great-grandfather to be a God-fearing, Christ-exalting, Spirit-filled man of God, and rise up to take your God-ordained place as head of your home. As we look at the 128th Psalm this morning, may each father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and husband hear and heed the promises that are given to men who fear The Lord and walk in His ways. The task is daunting, brothers. The need is critical. May we stare down the “spirit of this age” and, by the grace and power of God, rise up and be the God-fearing head, husband, father, and grandfather that God has called us to be for His glory and honor.
