The Gospel is the way that we enter the kingdom of God. However, in today’s passage, the Apostle Paul will show us that the Gospel is much more than that: We are not only saved by the Gospel, but it is also the Gospel that enables us to grow spiritually. That is, we are saved and sanctified by faith, not by our works. One must believe that only God can do for us what we cannot do for ourselves.
