David had many enemies. He knew that vengeance belonged to the Lord, so he sometimes prayed impreccatory prayers in which he asked God to take vengeance on his enemies. However, in the age of grace, Jesus commanded us to pray for our enemies and to love them that despitefully use us. This is only possible by God’s grace and His Spirit. Please open your Bible to Psalm one hundred nine, and listen as we resume with Pastor Ray Viola’s discussion of this psalm of David at verse five.
