As Ezra surveyed the people that were about to return with him to Jerusalem, he noticed that no Levites were among them! It would have been pointless to return to Jerusalem without Levites: They were the ones that were to teach the Law to the people in word and deed. The Levites had land in Babylon, but they would have none in Judah. They, like us, had to let go of that which was tangible and temporal to lay of that which is invisible and eternal. Please open your Bible to Ezra chapter eight, verse sixteen, and listen as Pastor Ray Viola begins his study of this chapter.
