The first six chapters of Ezra concern captives that returned from Babylon with Zerubbabel. Events in chapter seven concern a second group that returned with Ezra almost sixty years later. Ezra redeemed the time during his days of captivity so that when God placed a call on his life, he was ready. If you feel boxed in, don’t pout. Redeem the time. Your steps are ordered by the Lord.
