Chapter two of Ezra lists the Jewish exiles who returned to Judah. Nebuchadnezzar had deported their parents to Babylon seventy years earlier. This list confirms that many exiled Judeans responded to Cyrus’ decree mentioned at the end of Second Chronicles. It was a fulfillment of prophecy uttered by Jeremiah and a testimony to God’s faithfulness and the reliability of His word. Please open your Bible to Ezra chapter two, and listen as Pastor Ray Viola begins his study of chapters two and three.
