Nehemiah persisted in prayer for four months before the LORD gave him an opportunity to tell King Artaxerxes about his burden for Jerusalem. When the king asked him to speak, Nehemiah was spiritually and practically ready to ask Artaxerxes to allow him to return to Jerusalem to rebuild the city. His preparations helped him to overcome his fears, and to lay out a clear plan of action. Please open your Bible to Nehemiah chapter two, and listen as Pastor Ray Viola begins his study of this chapter.
