In today’s passage, the psalmist asked God to be his Advocate, because his enemies were persecuting him, and He needed a Defender. Fortunately, Christ Jesus the righteous is the Christian’s Advocate. Because of His tender mercies, God will save those that desire to live according to His word. However, salvation is far from unrepentant sinners.
