Sin marred the image of God in man. However, Christ Jesus made it possible for that godly image to be renewed and restored when He died on the cross and rose again. This new image is renewed in the knowledge that God provides through His Word. God’s Holy Spirit, Who indwells believers, actively works to conform us into Christ’s image, because Jesus is the very image of the living God.
