Today’s passage shows divine providence in operation. God is absolutely sovereign. He alone is God, and He providentially moves in the lives of people in different ways. In today’s example, God used an angel to tell Philip that he should leave the revival in Samaria and go down to the desert area of Gaza. Philip did not question his instructions, nor did he ask, “Why?” He simply obeyed, and God’s purpose soon became clear. Please open your Bible to Acts chapter eight, and listen as Pastor Ray Viola begins his study of verses twenty-six through forty.
