Paul was a man that had a shepherd’s heart. He was driven by the love of Christ, as well as a God-given concern for the spiritual welfare of the saints in Colossae, Laodicea and for those who had never met him. Paul prayed that these believers would be knit together in love. Unfortunately, many, especially in Laodicea, had become lukewarm within a generation.
