Job 42:17 So Job died, being old and full of days.
It is estimated that Job was 70 years old when the calamity came. So God gave him twice as many years to enjoy the double blessings that came to him. Commentators suggest that the entire book of Job lasted around 9 months. Apart from the grace of God, I probably would have freaked out after about 9 minutes, if that long!! But it is often overlooked that Job lived another 140 years after this disaster. During this time he enjoyed his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He had twice the cattle, twice the sheep, twice the joy, twice the strength, and got his health back as well. God didn’t just bring Job out of the trials; He made the enemy pay!
Beloved, do not judge the rest of your life on your current season or status. Keep your eyes on The Lord! God is not through with you. He is working in you “both to will and do of His good pleasure.” (Philippians 2:13) Remember this. “All things are working together for good for those who love God and are called according to His purpose.” (Romans 8:28) Selah
