Ephesians 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.
Read that verse again, beloved. Think of every word, and keep in mind that The Author is The Holy Spirit. Do you see any limitations at all in this promise? The only limitation is unbelief in the promise of God.
“Without faith, it is impossible to please God, for He that comes to God must believe that He is…” (Hebrews 11:6)
God rewards those who diligently seek Him. I am not talking material or monetary reward as if the Christian life is some kind of Divine Lotto. God in His providence may choose to grant those kinds of blessings. But, this promise to do exceeding or infinitely above or beyond anything we can ask or think is indeed staggering!
If I can ask it or think it, that is the very least that God will do.
Again, I am not talking about prayers that are purely fleshly because, as James 4:3 tells us, God will not honor those. I am talking about prayers lifted up unto God for things that to the natural mind are deemed hopeless or impossible. Is not that what our passage says? Believe it. Pray it. Trust in The Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your understanding. Selah.
