The first biblical reference to the title of Savior comes from the lips of David, the shepherd king. The Hebrew word for savior comes from the verb yasha, which means to avenge, deliver, help, save, or get victory. For every believer in any age, that is our God: not military might, not education, not prosperity, and not government—nothing and no one else! Please open your Bible to Isaiah chapter nine, and listen as Pastor Ray Viola discusses verses six and seven.
