Everyone is searching for joy, but few people find it. Suffering is a common human condition. Paul found joy, even in deplorable circumstances, because, for him, to live was Christ and to die was gain. Jesus, not circumstance, is the fountain of true joy and life. He became like us, so that we could become like Him.
