We live in the era where “forms of Godliness” have replaced a living faith in the risen Jesus. The level of morality inside the majority of professing Christendom barely exceeds that of the unsaved.
Why? Christianity has replaced Christ. We have adopted creeds to satisfy our greeds. Feeding sheep the Word of God has been turned into an entertainment center for goats.
When Paul met Jesus on the Damascus Road, there was no need to tell him that to turn back on his old religious lifestyle was not an option.
One word described Paul’s old life…crucified! One word described Paul’s self righteousness clothed in religious rhetoric…dung!
Are you a disciple of Jesus Christ or a professor of Christianity? Paul’s desire 30 years after his new birth was to know Jesus. Don’t accept any substitute!
