The message of the incarnation is a God-centered, vertical-focused message. Throughout Scripture the greatness and majesty of The Lord is repeated, in order to humble the pride of man and reveal to them their need for a Lord and Savior. Today we will be looking at what I would call one of those WOW sections of Scripture. These verses in Isaiah 40:9-31 almost take your breath away, as The Spirit of God unveils for us the incredible greatness of our God.
How important it is for us to hear what God says about Himself this morning. So many of God’s dear people are hurting today for as many reasons as there are people here. Beloved, I declare unto you in the Name of Jesus Christ, all things are working together for good, because our God says it would and He reigns. Read these words from Isaiah 40 as if God is speaking to you alone. If you are anything like me, you need a God explosion in your soul. The incomparable, omnipotent God reigns in His universe! Hallelujah! This incomparable God was born in a manger 2,000 years ago to (1) take away our sin, (2) destroy the works of the devil, and (3) return to the right hand of The Father to prepare a place for you.
Are you weary this morning loved ones? They that wait upon The Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
