Some refer to today’s passage as The Traveller’s Psalm. When Jewish pilgrims went to Jerusalem for required feasts, many traversed long distances over dangerous roads. During their journeys, they sang of the Lord’s constant watchfulness, care, and protection. Likewise, a believer’s life is a long, uncertain path that can be filled with danger, and we are also assured of God’s faithful care. Please open your Bible to Psalm one hundred twenty-one, and listen as Pastor Ray Viola begins his discussion of the second Psalm of Ascent.
