Peter wrote two general epistles to Jewish believers that were dispersed throughout the known world. He reminded his scattered brethren that it is God’s sovereign power that keeps them, even in times of persecution. In truth, the only way that the devil can get a foothold in our lives is when we ask Jesus to step aside so that we can do our own will instead of His. So, Christians also have the personal responsibility to walk in obedience to God. Please open your Bible to First Peter chapter one, and listen as Pastor Ray Viola begins his study of verses one through twelve.
