Being the target of lies and slander can be a bitter experience. The psalmist in today’s passage was such a victim. He was living in exile among a savage people that would rather fight than come to terms of peace. In his distress, he sought deliverance from the Lord. The psalmist’s situation is becoming a more common experience for Christians in our day and age, so we should follow his example. Please open your Bible to Psalm one hundred twenty, and follow along as Pastor Ray Viola begins his study.
