Consistency. Consistency and I do not always go together. My desire to be consistent is real, but within me I lack the ability to always be consistent in my pursuit of Christ. Is this a problem? Yes and no. You see, I am a creature that is totally dependent upon the grace of the Consistent One. I can’t be consistent apart from Jesus, and when I appear to be consistent, it is only by the enablement of God’s Holy Spirit.
Conclusion? I glory in Christ at all times. I do not reward myself for any good thing done, nor do I condemn myself when I fail. I’m ever, at all times, in need of my Lord Jesus’ strength, especially when I am weak.
Solomon requested that Jehovah maintain both his cause and the cause of His people Israel at all times. Every moment of every day we are to trust in Jesus. How we need to embrace the words of our Lord: “I am with you always,” and “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
God’s grace is very much alive today! Listen saints, if we were loved when at our worst, why would we think Jesus has left us now? He is the friend who loves at all times. Jesus is my testimony. My life of faith is a ‘product’ of His grace from start to finish.
The gospel of Jesus Christ is the reason why I can praise God at all times. Do it now – reverently, worshipfully: “Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together.”
