The Book of Ruth contains many images of Christ and the Christian life. In one of those images, Naomi sought rest in a God-ordained marriage for Ruth to a kinsman redeemer named Boaz. This parallels a sinner entering into rest when they cease from their own works and receive God’s imputed righteousness by His grace through faith in Jesus. Please open your Bible to Ruth chapter three, and listen as Pastor Ray Viola begins his discussion of what transpired between Ruth and Boaz at his threshing floor.
