Many words had surely been exchanged that are not recorded in Scripture, but Naomi’s first recorded words after returning to Judea are so revealing. Her soul was filled with bitterness, and she blamed God for all that had gone wrong. Bitterness, whether it is a single drop or a sea, is still bitterness and will ultimately kill the soul. The cross is the only tree that can change bitterness to sweetness. Please open your Bible to Ruth chapter one, verse fifteen, and listen as Pastor Ray Viola concludes his study of this chapter.
