God is truly and independently awesome! The fact (not feeling) that we are accepted in the Beloved is to the praise of the glory of His grace. Salvation is nothing other than the riches of Abba’s heart of grace. This undeserved favor will be demonstrated to us throughout all eternity. When a person hears the gospel with his heart, it automatically transforms him and he starts producing fruit.
Of course, God does put a new song into our hearts that stems from the fountain of His grace. This grace should flavor our lips as well. Does it? Paul, the self-proclaimed chiefest of sinners, owed his salvation to God’s exceeding, abundant grace which, it is worth repeating, had nothing to do with his own human efforts. Was this display of God’s grace limited in scope? No, not at all! It is offered to and within the grasp of every person.
Having received God’s grace, it’s comforting to know that when I approach my Lord, it is a throne of grace that I draw near to. In fact, one of the titles of the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of grace, and He is constantly working to draw us closer to Jesus. In a day of strange happenings within professing Christendom, let us never forget God’s exhortation to establish our hearts with grace. There is no room for pride in the throne room of grace for God’s grace blossoms in a humble heart that stands back in awe of the love of God.
All grace is from God and is to be expressed in the use of the gifts He’s given to us. As we get to know Jesus better, one of the effects will be a growth in grace. Beware of ungodly men who “pervert the grace of our God into sensuality”!
Amazing grace! Indeed, may the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.”
