1 Corinthians 10:31 Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.
The Holy Spirit says here, whatsoever you do, do all to the glory of God. One of the most profound words in all of Scripture is the word “whatsoever”. It sums up every aspect of our lives. What we eat, what we drink, whatever we do. In his letter to the Colossians, Paul would say, and whatsoever ye do in word or deed, [do] all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. Here we see that whatsoever we do are to be in the Name of Jesus, giving thanks unto The Father through Him.
And whatsoever ye do, do [it] heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men. Think about that word whatsoever today beloved. All for The Lord! Many of the reasons why it is wise to do whatsoever as unto The Lord is because another whatsoever. Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. God gives us the gift of choice. If we sow to the flesh we will reap corruption. If we sow to The Spirit, we will reap life. Why? Because whatsoever a man sows, that is what they will reap. To the saints at Ephesus, Paul would write, knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether [he be] bond or free. What kind of seed are you sowing beloved? Remember, whatsoever you sow, you reap. A very important part of good sowing stems from good thinking. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things [are] honest, whatsoever things [are] just, whatsoever things [are] pure, whatsoever things [are] lovely, whatsoever things [are] of good report; if [there be] any virtue, and if [there be] any praise, think on these things. Whatsoever! We need to mentally delete the corrupt ways of thinking for whatsoever is true, honest, just, pure, lovely, good report, virtuous and praiseworthy.
May God help our lives to line up with God’s whatsoever. Let me leave you with this precious whatsoever. John 2:5 reads, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.
