There is a difference between knowing The Living Jesus and having theological information about Jesus. Knowing The Living Jesus is much more than “theological comprehension” of biblical facts. The twice born person has entered into a living, loving relationship with Jesus Christ. When he or she is reading the Scriptural accounts of His teachings and miraculous power, it is as if The Living Jesus is speaking to them personally. The I AM Statements of Jesus are not just theological concepts; they are bread from heaven and life in their souls. The twice born person does not walk with the Jesus of the past, but The Living Jesus Who is alive forevermore. The Living Jesus is He in Whom we live and move and have our being! So as your day unfolds, The Living Jesus is with you and for you, and every bit The Savior, Deliverer and present Help that you may need.
1 John 1:1-4 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;) That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.
The YOU in these verses beloved is YOU! We do not fellowship with a “concept.” We have fellowship with a real, Living Jesus!!
