Jude 1:24-25 “Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.”
Dominion speaks of God’s Supreme authority, sovereignty, the right to govern or rule or determine. Power speaks God’s ultimate power; omnipotent. Majesty speaks of God’s magnificence, grandeur and splendor.
“Think, how prone we are to sin, how apt to choose danger, how strong our tendency to cast ourselves down, and these reflections will make us sing more sweetly than we have ever done, “Glory be to him, who is able to keep us from falling.” Spurgeon, Morning and evening
This doxology in Jude in the 3rd one found in the New Testament which opens to Him Who is able. The other two are:
Romans 16:25 “Now to him that is of power to establish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, 26 But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith: 27 To God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen.”
Ephesians 3:20 “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, 21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.”
The glory of God expresses all that He is in His Being and in His nature, character, power and acts.
