Peter exhorted us to live lives of separation from carnal lusts and worldly systems. For example, we should not behave as worldly people that give more honor to the rich, beautiful, or educated than those who were endowed with less. However, we are oblidged to submit to authority, even as Jesus did, so long as our obedience to secular laws does not run counter to God’s law. Please open your Bible to First Peter chapter two, and listen as Pastor Ray Viola begins his study of verses thirteen through twenty-five.
